The Beet Goes On

Here are two local Kitchener businesses that you NEED to know: The Walper Hotel and Goodvibes Juice. And it just so happens that they're teaming up! Goodvibes will soon be moving to The Walper Block at King and Queen and join The Walper, TWH Social, Living Fresh and The Walper Tobacco Shop in this incredible downtown location.

In order to celebrate this beautiful synergy, they paired up to host a stellar event at Lokal, The Walper's 2nd floor cocktail bar. Their incredible mixologist, Stacey, along with Drew and Lloyd from Goodvibes worked together to create delicious cocktails from 3 different cold-pressed juice blends.

Obviously I had to try all three so worked my way from savoury to sweet. The first was Heartbeet made with their famous heartbeet juice, mezcal and cointreau and lime juice. It was rimmed with a bit of coarse salt and topped with a beet chip and for a beet lover like me, it was magical.

The Sunkiss juice from Goodvibes is by far my favourite and puts me on a tropical beach every time I sip it so I was really excited to try the Sunkiss cocktail made with pisco and gingerbeer. The gingerbeer added a spicy element to the juice and balanced it out perfectly.

The third and sweetest juice was the Solstice. Made with their watermelon juice and limoncello it was the perfect dessert and finale to wrap up the night.

All in all it was a great event and although it was a welcoming event for Goodvibes I hope that they continue this tradition! I wish you guys the best of luck in your move and am so thankful that you have worked so hard to bring such an iconic company to the KW region. Keep it up!
